Good morning, have you had your morning cuppa yet?

I am not a coffee drinker and for those that know me a little would know that I am a tea drinker, a real tea that is, brewed, in a teapot and enjoyed.
I love Chai and can’t really enjoy the chai mixes around so I make my own and add soy milk and honey..mmm
Will you join me for a cup?
Prep time
Cook time
Total time
Serves: 1-2 cups
  • 1 tablespoon black tea
  • 4 cloves
  • 4 cardamon pods
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • soy milk
  • honey
  1. put tea and spices into a teapot, pour in hot water and allow to brew for a few minutes
  2. heat up milk in a saucepan or microwave
  3. strain tea into your favourite mug, add milk and honey and sit back and enjoy
Use all soy milk if you prefer

Simple as that and once you make your own, you can never go back to mixes.
Hope you have a happy week

  • Damn to no soy in the fridge! Yay to shopping day tomorrow and supplies for wall-to-wall chai! Your timing is perfect. Have been working up since whiffing a chai at NCB last Thursday to out and out pregnancy-style craving (entirely without the pregnancy bit).

Yep this sounds good….most chai's I sample in cafes tend to be tooooooo sweet & others taste just not real!!! Fussy git I know!!! Thanks Cathie for this gem, perfect timing.
