Fruit & Nut Granola

A few weeks ago we dehydrated some fruit, pears, bananas and strawberries and I added them all to our Granola mix.
It’s all gone and the kids are asking for more.

You should try it, it’s easy and healthy and gives you and the family something different for breakfast or even for an after school snack.

What do you have for breakfast?

Happy week to you, we are back to school on Friday….eeeeep, grade ONE ♥

  • Looks tasty!
I can't remember if I said that the blueberry muffin recipe was great. Perfect balance of sweetness and berry,
    Thanks again,
    Ab x

  • More please! I have something very similar (but not quite so yummy looking ) for breakfast every day with yoghurt and fruit. x

  • Yum Cathie! I make a very similar mix myself which I just cannot live without, with fresh fruit and yoghurt…followed by 1 piece of vegemite toast and black tea. It is a ritual that I feel incomplete without!

  • Oh yum! You make healthy food look so delicious 🙂 I am a cereal/mueseli girl at breakfast time. Pancakes on weekends & bacon & eggs if I can bothered some week days 🙂 Breakfast is one of my favourite meals to eat out at cafes/restaurants 🙂
    Have a great week Cathie!
    xx

  • THat looks really tasty – I have something similar with yogurt. Nice and filling but not too heavy.

  • I made some granola this morning, you can't beat it home made.
Also got a grade one starting tomorrow…eek indeed!!

  • Oh yum, we usually have muesli au naturel, because I'm lazy! I'd love to try this recipe though – did you do the fruit in a dehydrator?

  • Yum yum! I have eggs most often, with berries on the side. I have made a delicious no-grain granola (is that still a GRAN-ola, with no grain?) but my hubby takes it to work to scoff there. Must make more and hide it….

  • Pam

Ooh that does look so tasty indeed Cathie! Haven't dried my own fruit in a very long time. The thought of it almost makes my mouth water! One day soon……. :)) x

  • I would love to have a large container of oats in stock at my house. This looks yummy!!

  • Bec

Love granola, yours looks yummy! We have so many different things for breakfast, cereal, porridge, fruit ad yoghurt, eggs on toast, mushies on toast, scrambled eggs in a mountian bread wrap. Can you tell we get bored quickly lol The last two weeks I have been having a green smoothie for breakfast, just experimenting (and trying to be extra healthy :)) Grade 2 starts Friday for us eek miss my girl already 🙁 GOod luck getting back into the swing of things x

  • That looks so lovely and wholesome and tasty 😉 Its lovely thr children like it. I have special K for my breakfast with sliced up banana it sets me up for the day. Have a lovely week, dee x

  • Yummy! I LOVE Granola – with joghurt and fruit – the perfect breakfast!

  • I love the addition of dried fruit to granola…haven't tried drying it myself though you have inspired me 🙂

  • Beautiful looking stuff! it has been far too long since I made our granola, will give this a go!

Though the child has just recently decided to live only on sunshine, air and noodles… more for me I guess 🙂

  • ooohh that looks delicious Cathy! is the dehydrating part hard?? hope you are well xx

  • Looks wonderful! I love homemade granola and I think I should really make this regularly!

  • This looks great – I am going to have to come down and visit and go to the food store to get some ingredients.

I am loving CADA at the moment – whizzed up in my Thermomix fresh of a morning and the kids are enjoying a little stirred into their porriage:)

  • AMA

    Looks yummy! Cheers

  • I think I could eat the whole jar…love this stuff. Hugs to you and Happy JOYFUL heartfilled February! xoxoxo

  • Oh Cathy that looks SO good! I LOVE dried fruit, and granola is something I have never made…but that's about to change…thank's for this YUMMY recipe!
Your snappies are perfectly charming, as usual…the first one with the "apple slices blending into that gorgeous weathered wood" is my favorite.
Have a glorious Thursday dear one..xoxo..Rosie

  • That looks so good, I must give it ago xo

  • Yum, not surprised it's disappeared Cathie! Our brekky is so boring. Weetbix and fruit. Seriously need to try this 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend.

  • HI Cathie, we're very fond of granola here too, often with organic apricots and squiggly dates. Might have to look into dehydrating fruit though. Otherwise, it's toast and marmalade. Nice to meet you by the way!

  • Is the oven setting the lowest on the oven to dehydrate? I googled the 160 c to convert to Fahrenheit and it said 360. Just wanted to check before making this recipe.
    Thank you
