Marmalade Tart

I have neglected you lately so I baked you a tart, hope you’ll join me for a cuppa and a piece or two.

Serves: 6-8 serves
  • 1 quantity
  • sweet pastry
  • (about 26 cm tart tin)
  • 50 g butter
  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 150 g flaked almonds
  • 2 tbs milk
  • about 1 or 1¼ cup marmalade
  1. make pastry dough as per recipe, blind bake
  2. preheat oven to 180 C
  3. place butter, sugar, vanilla, almonds and milk in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until butter has melted, allow to cool
  4. spread marmalade in a prepared tart shell, pour over topping
  5. bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden
  6. serve warm with some vanilla ice cream

I used mandarin marmalade, you can use whatever flavour you like, easy peasy!
