My kids love sponge cake. They think it’s like a big jam and cream sandwich.
Mum never made it when we were kids so I didn’t know what all the fuss was about. I always thought it seemed too fiddly and unpredictable. Anything that needs triple sifting has to be too extreme, doesn’t it?
My mum has the best lemon tree. We gave it to her on her birthday 3 or 4 years ago and it has given her what seems like a neverending supply of deliciously juicy lemons.
I don’t know how she does it but she seems to have the magic touch when it comes to her fruit trees.
I always say it’s her Mediterranean hands that do all the work but she says she talks to her plants because they need to know they are loved.
I love that, I love that she does that.
You know when you do something with love it seems to work out better.
I feel a bit lost, there is so much I want to show you but I can’t.
My camera is still at the shop and I don’t feel like myself without it.
For now, I’ll share this recipe with you, luckily there was a photo of it on my hard drive.
You’ll need a food processor for this as it uses whole oranges and they need to be whizzed up.
Creating some butterfly cupcakes for an order, they are gluten free & dairy free and you know what I love about the blog community, if you need some advice, there is always some sweet someone who is more than happy to help. Merci Sandrine x
I have to drop these off and will be back for some more baking, hopefully, some baby cupcakes…I am soooo excited, my sis is in the hospital right now and we are anxiously awaiting a new creation.
Have fun creating, will pop by and visit you later and may see you tonight at the NCB .
I am sooo excited!!!
