There’s a little glimpse of sunshine peeking through the windows and it tricked us into thinking it’s warmer than it is and forgetting that it’s only about 10C outside.
We popped outside to give the chickens our food scraps and quickly ran back in to get warm. On the plus side, one of them had just laid and the egg was toasty warm.
We love a long weekend. The little extra sleep in, the ease of waking up without rushing to go somewhere, everyone at home, casual breakfasts, playing outside, going for a walk , hanging out with the chickies, collecting eggs and baking muffins.
Week one of school holidays has come to an end and I am still here, haven’t gone crazy yet but hey, there’s still time!
We have done a few things together this week and these muffins were a good outdoor treat for the little ones.
It’s a quick recipe if you have people coming over and smell absolutely delicious coming out of the oven.
If you don’t have sour cream in the fridge, just use yoghurt instead.
It’s kinder holidays for us for the next two weeks so wish me luck as I try to find some adventures to keep these little beings amused.
This is a good recipe to try with little ones* as you can do all the mixing by hand.
